The purpose of the Minigrant Program is to help ease the financial burden of classroom experiences. Teachers can apply for minigrants of up to $500, and funds can be used to reimburse expenses accrued from bus and transportation fees, admission fees to museums or performances, speaker/presenter fees, visiting artist stipends, etc… Teachers can apply for these funds year-round but will be limited to receiving one minigrant per school year. These funds are intended for classroom programs and not for individual student needs.
Minigrants will be given in the form of a reimbursement. It is recommended that teachers apply at least 3-4 weeks prior to the proposed activity to verify that funds are available and appropriate for the activity.
