The Thornapple Arts Council is pleased to be taking part in 2018’s Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.
Giving Tuesday is about giving back to what matters to you, be it charity, nonprofit, small business, or school. Send a check, volunteer your time, share social media posts to encourage your friends to give–do something this Giving Tuesday to give back. For the Thornapple Arts Council, this means giving back to our community year-round through our programming for the arts. For Barry County residents, this could mean giving back to the Thornapple Arts Council.
This year, TAC will be hosting a Facebook fundraiser to reach a goal of $2500 in donations. Kicking off on Tuesday, November 27th, this fundraiser will merge with our annual year-end donation requests and continue through the holiday season. Starting at 5am PST on November 27th, Facebook and PayPal will match donations to nonprofits until their dedicated $7m match runs out. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), that makes this is an especially great year to consider TAC in your year-end giving.
The Thornapple Arts Council is dedicated to promoting the arts in Barry County through its wide variety of programming. With this in mind, the theme of this year’s TAC Giving Tuesday fundraiser is “Arts Advocacy: Give to What Matters to You.” Your tax-deductible contribution can be earmarked for whichever program you support the most, donated to a general category such as Visual Arts, or given with no stipulations to be distributed at the Thornapple Arts Council’s discretion.
Donations made on November 27th’s Giving Tuesday should made through our Facebook fundraiser. Other donations can be made through our Facebook page, our website, mailed to the Arts Council, or dropped off in-person to the TAC office. Checks can be made out to the Thornapple Arts Council.
